.. an eastwards extension known as Burt’s Close ran towards Candlemaker’s Row. Jimmy has reintroduced this forgotten Close giving it a mixed media rework w signature cosmic skies.

The geometry and pattern stem from the stripped down, interlocking architectural forms that characterize the Art Deco buildings dotted around Edinburgh.

We bring word about a future event that you can see in Edinburgh’s Old Town, a new collaborative body of work showcasing Edinburgh’s Art Deco cinemas and other gems. The opening party drops late November, then doors 10am-6pm, most days. We will direct you to the Gallery’s wall in good time. Laters taters!

The Garret’s 2 little pixma printers can be heard whirring a lot lately as we are lucky to have the opportunity to showcase our paper / poplin / textile prints at LeithLate and onwards. The collaborative body of work will be on exhibit at the recently launched I Heart Cafe, Haddington Place. Keep yer eyes peeled for Cassandra Harrison’s Gocco printed Tower Blocks, and Jimmy Steel’s cosmic nocturne prints.
